Established in 2007, GTi Racing, a small tarmac rally team based in Perth Western Australia, regularly takes on the big guns in Targa rallies - and prevails.

First running in Targa West in 2008, the team finished second in challenge modern running an unmodified F6 Typhoon on street tyres.

In 2009, the boyz ran a purpose-built Mitsubishi Evo 8 and, until a sudden encounter with water, were running in the top ten in competition modern.

With unfinished business, in 2010 the boyz lined up again in their Evo 8 and finished eighth outright in competition modern behind the likes of Dean Herridge and Jim Richards. In the course of the rally they set a new record for the Summers Legal Zig Zag, and to date remain the fastest Evo team up the Zig Zag. In 2012, the team will run a purpose-built replica Ford Capri Perana at Targa South West from 25 to 27 May and at Targa West from 16 August to 19 August.
